Don’t miss any meals during vacation: Huvis makes a donation for ‘Dream Project! One Meal a Day during School Vacation’

2017-07-12

- Selected and sponsored 261 students at Palbok, Banwoul, Jochon elementary school in Jeonju
- Initiated to ensure one meal a day for students at risk of missing meals during school vacation in 2012

Huvis (CEO Shin, You Dong, www.huvis.com), the leading cutting-edge chemical materials company, is carrying out the ‘Dream Project!
One Meal a Day during Vacation’ this year again without fail, through which children from low-income families are provided with one
meal a day during school vacation.
A total of 261 students from Palbok Elementary School, Banwoul Elementary School, and Jochon Elementary School were selected,
and the support fund was presented on July 12 at Palbok Elementary School with the attendance of school staff and Huvis employees.

This project is one of the Dream Projects carried out by Huvis, which was first initiated in 2012 to offer education, supplies and food for
children from low-income families. The purpose is to provide one meal a day for students who can eat regularly at school through the
food service provided by their school cafeteria during the school year but are at risk of missing out on meals when school is on vacation.
The selected students are provided with restaurant coupons that can be used in nearby restaurants or for buying groceries such as rice
and side dishes that can be directly delivered to their homes.

“We’re going to keep on providing warm meals for the growing children in our community,” said Hyun, Jong Chul, Vice President of Huvis’
Jeonju Plant. “We hope there are more chances for our underprivileged neighbors to receive proper support.”

In addition, Huvis is also carrying out a variety of activities including Dream Briquette Delivery that delivers briquettes to those in need,
Dream Supplies Support that donates books, desks, computers and school supplies, and Dream Uniforms that provides uniforms for
student soccer teams.
