Holding Company Introduction

In 2000, SK Chemicals and Samyang Corporation created Huvis, the biggest fiber company in Korea, by combining their most advanced technology, know-how, and the world’s best production capacity. With Korea’s biggest output of chemicals and fiber materials as well as the output of differentiated products, Huvis operates manufacturing plants in Jeonju, Ulsan and China, and
an R&D center in Daejeon. Currently, it is manufacturing state-of-the-art fiber materials such as Super Fiber / Environment-friendly Fiber / Differentiated Fiber.

To enter the Chinese market, Huvis established Huvis Sichuan in 2002 (Huvis Corporation 95% and Sichuan Polyester Corporation 5%).

In 2014 Huvis acquired Huvis Water, the market leader in the domestic power plant water treatment industry, which has core water treatment technologies, such as water and wastewater treatment and seawater desalination technology, and entered the water treatment market in earnest, acquiring the industrial material business division of SK Chemicals and Samyang to become
a global materials company.
